Indian shipowner Seven Islands Shipping has concluded a two-year charter for its only VLCC.
The 299,000-dwt Lavails (built 2000) has been fixed by Indian Oil Co (IOC) for 24 months at $24,000 per day.
The relatively low rate reflects the age of the tanker, which was purchased from BW Group as BW Ulan last December for $24.5m. Seven Islands is listed with a fleet of 12 tankers.
