India is allowing refiners to bring in US crude on foreign-flagged VLCCs as they seek to save money.
State-owned Indian Oil Corp (IOC) can now import one cargo per month from the US on overseas tankers, and private refiners are joining in too, Money Control reported, citing a senior oil official.
Previously, Indian owners have had first refusal on stems for their Indian-flagged ships.
