Nasdaq-listed Pyxis Tankers has fallen into the red during the second quarter as costs rose.

The product tanker owner said the net deficit was $0.76m, compared to a profit of $0.4m in 2016.

Revenue rose to $8.45m from $7.89m, but voyage expenses jumped from $0.87m to $2.58m.

Loan agreements worth $24.4m for two tankers were extended for another four years, it said.
