Norwegian owner Global Skipsholding 2 has sold the first of six aframax tankers it purchased from Malaysia’s AET in a sale-and-charter-back deal in 2008 for $312m en bloc. 

Global managing director Trym Otto Sjolie confirms the 99,000-dwt Eagle Boston (built 1996) has gone for demolition. 

Sources say the ship, which is set to be scrapped in Bangladesh after securing $6.5m
