Market sources have identified Greek shipowner Adam Polemis as the buyer of an aframax sold by oil major Chevron.
Polemis-controlled New Shipping is said to have purchased the 104,800-dwt Stellar Voyager (built 2003) for $10.2m.
Executives at the company did not immediately respond to a TradeWinds request for comment.
New Shipping has been a busy buyer of tanker tonnage, acquiring three VLCCs since last December, including one resale.
