South Korea’s Sinokor Merchant Marine has bought a second Japanese-controlled VLCC.

Broking sources say the company is the buyer of K Line's 299,000-dwt Isuzugawa (built 2004).

The price for the Universal-built vessel is being reported as $25.8m, and is being described as slightly higher than expected.

Five potential buyers reportedly inspected the tanker.

Sinokor's spokesman on sale and purchase did not respond to a request for confirmation of the purchase.
