Celsius Shipping has acquired an 11-year-old stainless steel chemical tanker from MOL, marking another expansion move for the diversified Danish shipowner.
Sources say it paid $15m to $15.3m for the Shin Kurushima-built, 20,800-dwt Spruce Galaxy (built 2006). Brokers describe the price as strong but add that the ship is built to high specifications, with 22 segregations and a nitrogen generator.
