A British Columbia politician has expressed concerns about the surge in tanker traffic if plans for a major pipeline to boost Canadian oil exports to Asia proceeds.

She said in an interview with Bloomberg that Kinder’s plan to haul more crude to the Pacific coast threatens coastal fisheries and tourism.
