Nisshin Shipping of Japan has placed four International Maritime Organization Type II/III handysize tankers on the sale and purchase market as they reach the 10-year age mark.

Shipbrokers appointed by Nisshin have been circulating the 19,900-dwt stainless steel tankers AS Omaria, AS Olivia, Octaden (all built 2007) and AS Orelia (built 2008) for sale over the past week.

The Usuki Zosensho-built chemical tankers are operating in the fleet of Norway’s Hansa Tankers, where they are among the oldest of 26 ships that the company touts as having an average age of six years.
