The Livanos family's Sun Enterprises is understood to have locked a product tanker into a term deal lasting at least a year.

The outfit will charter the 72,000-dwt Amazon Falcon (built 2017) to Petrobras.

European broking sources say the LR1 ship is fixed for 12 months with an option for a second year at $14,500 per day.

The tanker, along with a sistership, was ordered at South Korea’s Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) in 2015, reportedly for more than $50m each.
