The outage of a major pipeline in the North Sea is pushing up international crude oil prices. But whether it helps freight rates is unclear.

A leak on the Forties Pipeline pushed Brent crude prices to their highest level since 2015. The pipeline, which is expected to be out for up to three weeks, is a major source of crude oil for European, Asian and US East Coast refiners.
