Sinokor Merchant Marine is reported to have fetched a strong price for a tanker which looks to have become the 11 th VLCC sent for demolition this year.
The company is believed to have offloaded the 300,000-dw Plata Glory (built 1999) for scrap, with an option for disposal in either India or Pakistan, at a time when crude tanker demolition is being closely watched given the weak winter market.
