Tsakos Energy Navigation netted $16m in cash after the sale-and-leaseback of two suezmax tankers, the company said.
The 164,600-dwt Eurochampion 2004 and Euronike (both built 2005) were sold at a gross price of $65.2m to unidentified buyers. VesselsValue put a market price of $42m on the pair.
Proceeds from the sale also went to reducing the New York-listed Tsakos debt load.
