The United Arab Emirates has laid down new laws aimed at crude oil tankers and bulk carriers flying foreign flags.
The sovereign state has ruled that such vessels in UAE ports, territorial waters and the exclusive economic zone must adhere to four conditions for loading and offloading goods.
The Federal Transportation Authority -- Land & Maritime states that ships must be less than 25 years old and built or adapted primarily to carry crude oil and products in bulk.
