Greek owner Evalend Shipping has locked an 18 year old VLCC into a time charter contract.
The 309,000-dwt Najaf (built 2000) has been fixed for storage work by Al-Iraqia Shipping Services & Oil Trading (AISSOT) for five years.
European shipbrokers say the rate is close to $20,000 per day and the deal is for three firm years, plus options.
