Shell is the charterer behind two LNG-capable aframax tankers being built by diversified energy shipping giant Sovcomflot (SCF).
As TradeWinds reported, SCF pulled the trigger on two optional ice-class, 114,000-dwt newbuildings at from a string it is holding at Hyundai Heavy Industries.
SCF currently has six such tankers under construction at the South Korean shipyard which are due for delivery starting in the third quarter.
