Delta Tankers is said to be buying an eight-year-old suezmax from the fleet of bankrupt Toisa.
US brokers said the Greek shipowner had purchased the 161,000-dwt United Emblem (built 2010) for $27.5m.
VesselsValue estimates the New Times Shipbuilding-constructed ship is worth $30.6m, while rival Maritime Strategies International puts the vessel at $32.7m.
