Maersk Tankers has hired an IT expert from Falck to lead its digital strategy.
Torben Ruberg will serve as the Danish tanker player's new chief information officer (CIO) after serving as CIO and vice president of IT at the privately held emergency services provider.
He will join Christian Ingerslev-led Maersk Tankers on 15 May.
"We are optimising and advancing our IT, which will contribute to Maersk Tankers becoming a digital product tanker company and more agile and cost-efficient in our operations," Maersk Tankers chief technical officer Tommy Thomassen said.
