The companies said the in-house-designed 50,000-dwt chemical carriers will be built at Guangzhou Shipyard International (GSI), as reported exclusively on the TradeWinds website on Friday.

Deliveries will start in spring 2014. The vessels are worth $400m if all go ahead.

They will be operated in the Stena Weco pool as it teams up with palm oil titan Golden Agri-Resources in a new transportation joint-venture.
