New York-listedScorpio, which will reveal its second quarter results today, has penned twofirm MR tankers with options for two more, sources claim.
While it’s not exactly clear how muchthe new ships will cost, the price tag is believed to be slightly lower thanthe reported $35m-$36m stumped up for the last vessel it contracted there. Deliveryof both firm units is expected by January 2014.
