TradeWinds understands the 309,300-dwt DHT Ann and DHT Chris (ex-Overseas Ann and Overseas Chris, both built 2001) have secured employment with oil trading companies.

One of the vessels has gone to Core Petroleum on a $20,000 per day contract, sources say.

The other has secured a 12-month charter with a “leading oil trader”.

Clarksons presently has a $21,000 per day figure against a one-year VLCC charter.

As TradeWinds reported last week the DHT Ann was leaving the Tankers International pool having ended its time with OSG.

The vessel had been earning $38,500 per day with the bankrupt US operator.
