TradeWinds reported earlier this week that France’s Jaccar had put pen to paper on four more gas carriers at Sinopacific’s Qidong yard.

Subisidiary Evergas announced on Wednesday that the vessels will be fixed to INEOS to transport ethane into Norway from the US Mariner East project.

The “state-of-the-art” 27,500-cbm ships are slated for delivery in 2015. No price was revealed.

Evergas CEO Martin Ackermann said: “Strong relations and the open mind and willingness to look to the future by INEOS has been imperative for our ability to develop innovative and technically advanced vessels offering safe, flexible, green and efficient transport solutions to the benefit of all involved parties.”
