When the 8,200-dwt chemical tanker Wappen Von Hamburg (built 2002) joins the 16,700-dwt Elisalex Schulte (built 2011) this month, regional manager Adrian Tolson says the Danish group will have the assets it needs to compete against the likes of Chemoil and BP in North America.

Tolson, who is based in Stamford, Connecticut, said he plans to hire more employees in the near-term and expects the fight for market share to continue but doesn’t anticipate chartering additional tonnage to support OW’s offshore bunker supply business anytime soon.
