The New York-listed tanker owner said the vessels will rake in a total of $80m over the duration of the contracts with an unidentified “major national end user”.
Tsakos did not name the five ships in question though it lists nine vessels in its fleet which fit the bill.
If all five ships are earning the same it would equate to around $14,600 per day per vessel.
