Khan Jubair Niaz says bunkers supply on the 320,000-dwt A Whale (built 2010) is running out, food is rotten, and physical fights are breaking out among the frustrated 20-man crew.
His comments come on the same day that Taiwan’s TMT said chairman Nobu Su sent emergency help to crew on another vessel, the 100,000-dwt tanker Iron Monger 3 (built 1990).
The A Whale, whose single-ship company is among several TMT entities that filed for Chapter 11 protection from creditors in Houston, has been anchored off Suez for five months.
