TradeWindsreported yesterday the Danish owner had offloaded the11,400-dwt Clipper Karen (built 2006), but at that time it was not possible toreach the company for comment.
Me Christensen, head of people and communication at Clipper,said today in an email: “The selling of the Clipper Karen is part of our deliberate strategy toexit the chemical tankers market.”
A figure of $11.5m has been placed on the deal,however, Clipper declines to comment on the price.
