It has announced an agreement with state-owned shipowner Pelni to conduct a study on the possibleuse of gas as fuel for its fleet.
“We want to make this agreement a breakthrough in the usage of LNG,”Pertagas president director Hendra Jaya told the Jakarta Post.
He added: “First, we have to determine how to supply thevessels. For example, on the Jakarta-Medan route, where will their supply comefrom? Where will the jetty and storage be? We also have to take a look at Pelnivessels’ capacity to use LNG.”
