In the larger of the two transactions, the Vancouver-headquartered tanker giant’s Teekay LNG Partners spin-off has sold the 160,000-dwt Huelva Spirit (built 2001) for $18.8m. The buyer is not disclosed.
Teekay acquired the Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering-built suezmax as part of its 2004 takeover of the fleet of Spain’s Naviera F Tapias. Seasure Shipping’s valuation website VesselsValue.com lists the ship as worth an estimated $19.6m.
