The New York-listed tanker giant revealed that it is not just buying Samco's fleet of seven VLCCs but the entire company, including its 50% stake in Goodwood Ship Management.

The announcement follows speculation that the agreement, first reported by TradeWinds three months ago, might collapse.

It didn't.

DHT will pay more than $317m for Samco and will plop $5m into an escrow fund to cover a potential adjustment in that price tag.
