Rasmussengruppen has amassed a $30m slice of the New York-listed company, which has just become the owner of the largest VL fleet listed in the US with its takeover of Samco.
An SEC filing shows Rasmussengruppen controls five million shares in DHT, enough for a 5.40% stake.
Rasmussengruppen is the latest in a line of new investors in DHT that has emerged as a tanker market force during the past year.
