Analyst Peter Sand says deals for four VLCCs and six suezmaxes in the past two months have lifted the level of crude deliveries in 2016 by 16%.

He says this has taken the expected fleet growth in the sector to “an uncomfortable four year high” with a 3% expansion now charted that year.
