The Oslo-listed owner said 60 people will move from Norwalk to Houston, the port its tanker fleet most frequently calls at.
Stolt Tank Containers' US personnel are already in Houston, where the company also has its largest wholly owned oil terminal.
Stolt said the move is expected to be completed by the end of 2015, meaning the closure of the Norwalk office.
