An attack on facilities at Al-Sidra and Ras Lanuf was launched on Saturday by Libya Dawn forces that control the capital Tripoli and large parts of western Libya, the BBC reported.
A second day of fighting led to force majeures being declared.
At least five people were killed as pro-government troops fought back. The elected government has been forced to sit in the eastern city of Tobruk.
