The shuttle tanker has been ordered at China’s Cosco Zhoushan and will work for an international oil company, KNOT said.
It will be a sister vessel to the 152,000-dwt Raquel Knutsen which will be delivered from the same yard soon.
Raquel Knutsen is thought to have won a 10-year contract with Repsol Sinopec of Brazil.
The new shuttle tanker will be offered to the master limited partnership KNOT Offshore Partners (KNOP).
