Chief financial officer Hew Crooks put the pressure on Tsakos Energy Navigation (TEN) vice chairman Michael Jolliffe after he had discouraged orders without employment in place at Marine Money in London on Wednesday.
"That [ordering against period employment] might make sense for you but I don't think it's at all helpful to the market," Crooks said.
"You are not building sophisticated vessels to meet particular requirements.
