Divers carried out an underwater inspection of the 51,000-dwt Prisco Alexandra (built 2008) off Cartagena after spotting suspicious activity near its rudder, local media reported.
Two Colombian men were found on board, together with 102 packages of the drug weighing 102kg, plus a sack of food.
The vessel was bound for Baton Route in the US.
There have been no crew arrests and no suggestion the seafarers were aware of the traffickers’ actions.
