Vitol has placed the 150,000-dwt Dynacom-managed Novo (built 2012) on subjects to carry 120,000 to 125,000 tonnes from Ruwais to Japan on 15 April at Worldscale (WS) 110, the owner confirmed to the Platts news agency.

"This cargo is a big shipment ... cargoes from [the Persian Gulf] are usually around 25,000-75,000 mt," an Asian trading source said.

Industry sources said Vitol bought the cargo from ADNOC at a premium of $12-$14 per tonne to the oil company's formula.
