It boosted its quarterly net profit to CNY 65.9m ($10.6m) compared to CNY 51.9m a year ago.
But sales for the first three months of 2015 fell nearly 9% to CNY 2.92bn.
CSDC has been active over recent months with deals for both scrapping older vessels and ordering newbuildings.
It posted a profit of CNY 401.82m for 2014, up from a loss of CNY 2.21bn
