His appointment follows the sudden exit of Odfjell veteran Jan Hammer in early December last year.
Former Westfal-Larsen boss Tore Jakobsen was brought in to fill the post on an interim basis following Hammer’s departure.
Morch, a Danish citizen, is set to join the Oslo-listed company by 1 November 2015 at the latest, Odfjell’s statement said.
He has also been chief operating officer of Maersk Tankers, and has also held other management positions in AP Moller-Maersk.
