A private company led by Peter Georgiopoulos has struck a deal to pay a portion of its late payments to Genco Shipping & Trading.
New York-listed Genco said in a securities filing that MEP paid $1m of its $1.5m of late fee payments.
But the deal, which was overseen by the independent members of Genco’s board, will see technical services fees reduced to $650 to $750 per vessel per day.
