Suezmax tanker rates moved upward Wednesday thanks to a rise in fixture volume in the West Africa market.
Time-charter equivalent (TCE) rates on the benchmark TD20 route from Nigeria to Rotterdam jumped to nearly $46,100 per day, an uptick of 3.1% or $1,380 from yesterday and a 6.4% jump since the end of last week, according to Baltic Exchange assessments.
