Greek owner Latsis is streamlining its fleet and is understood to have sold its two oldest tankers, which are only seven years old.

Sources claim that the 51,000-dwt Hellas Enterprise and Hellas Explorer (both built 2008) has gone to compatriot owner Alma Maritime.

The STX-built ships have fetched some $26m each, which is roughly in line with market expectations.

In January, Latsis completed the sale of the last of its four older medium range (MR) tankers with the disposal of the 46,000-dwt tanker Hellas Symphony (built 2000) for $10.5m.
