Tsakos Energy Navigation (TEN) confirmed that it scored a period charter for a suezmax tanker, the New York-listed shipowner said.
The company did not provide details of the charter or identify the ship, but it said the contract will bring $18.5m in gross revenues from the oil major charterer.
However, TradeWinds reported Friday that TEN was understood to have fixed its 164,000-dwt Silia T (built 2002) for 18 months to Lukoil International Trading and Supply Company (Litasco) at $34,000 per day.
