An Indian tanker carrying crude from Libya has been refused entry by Malta.
Elektrans' 95,000-dwt Distya Ameya (ex Kassos, built 1995) had been instructed to load 650,000 barrels at Marsa El-Hariga from eastern Libyan oil firm Agoco between 21 and 23 April.
The crude was bought by DSA Consultancy FZC of the UAE, according to Libya’s National Oil Corporation (NOC) in Tripoli, which said the deal was illegal.
