DHT Tankers sold its last suezmax tanker as it continues to focus its fleet on the VLCC sector.
The New York-listed tanker owner said it sold the 165,000-dwt DHT Target (built 2001) for $22.5m.
The ship will be delivered to its undisclosed buyers on May 2016.
"The sale is in support of the company's fleet renewal program and took place during a period in which three VLCC newbuildings have been delivered since November 2015 and three further VLCC newbuildings will be delivered by October 2016," DHT said.
DHT recorded an impairment charge of $8.1m
