Ridgebury Tankers’ emergence as the acquirer of DHT Holdings’ 15-year-old suezmax DHT Target confirms the notion that the Connecticut company has gone from seller to buyer of tonnage based on conditions in the tanker market.
Sources in the US confirm this week that Bob Burke-led Ridgebury has bought the 165,000-dwt tanker (built 2001) for $22.5m, as TradeWinds reports this week.
Ridgebury declined comment on the deal.
