Iran will close the vital Strait of Hormuz if the US or other western powers threaten the country.
State media cited the deputy commander of the Revolutionary Guard, General Hossein Salami, as saying: “If the Americans and their regional allies want to pass through the Strait of Hormuz and threaten us, we will not allow any entry.”
He added: “Americans cannot make safe any part of the world.”
