Rising freight rates helped Finnish oil and shipping group Neste to a bigger first quarter profit.
The company said net earnings to 31 March were EUR 97m ($121.34m), against EUR 95m in the previous year.
Revenues grew to EUR 2.72bn, from EUR 2.05bn in 2009.
It said: “Freight rates for crude tankers in the North Sea were stronger year-on-year, due to cold winter conditions in Europe.”
