UK-based Kingfish Trading has signed up for 11 new tankers in Brazil backed by charters to oil company Petrobras.
The 45,000-dwt MRs, capable of handling products and crude, will be built at the OSX group's new shipyard at Acu, currently under construction.
The $732m deal will see the first vessel delivered in 2014.
Kingfish boss Mark Slemeck told Reuters the vessels are designed for the coastal cabotage trade.
