Croatia’s Tankerska Next Generation (TNG) says it will trade one of its MRs in the spot market after it finished a term deal with Stena Weco.
The 52,000-dwt Vinjerac (both built 2011) had been earning $14,800 per day until 20 May.
It will now align its new employment “with the market terms and expected hire rates,” the company said.
Two more of the owner’s six MRs are coming off time charters this year, to Morgan Stanley ($18,500 per day) and Trafigura ($19,300).
